FlowerDocs 2025.1: Designed for Efficiency, Security, and a Smoother User Experience

Just a few months after version 2025.0, FlowerDocs is back with a minor new release: 2025.1. More than just improvements, this version represents a significant step forward in simplifying the platform, enhancing security, and providing powerful tools for users, integrators, and operators alike.

A More Fluid User Experience

A redesigned login page
The login page now features a new, more comfortable design, with support for username/password login and/or Single Sign-On (SSO). You can also configure it to only allow SSO for added security.

Easier document upload
Document uploading has never been simpler. You can now drag and drop a file directly onto the “+” banner from your computer. Or in virtual folders, documents inherit indexing from the folder, helping to avoid manual input and errors.

Full-text search, now more powerful

The improved full-text search supports:

• Exact match queries using quotes ("")
• Text extraction from ZIP files and e-mails
• Automatic highlighting of word researched in the document viewer

ARender Viewer: streamlined and smarter

The viewer now removes non-critical (blue) notifications, keeping only error alerts. 

It also integrates Mixpanel analytics, providing anonymized usage data to guide future improvements, all fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and other global standards.

New Features for Integrators

• Two new REST APIs allow you to create or update a document with an attached file in a single call.
• The Command Line Manager (CLM) is now more flexible, no longer requiring a scope.xml file.
• Virtual folders gain a new children parameter for more granular control over allowed document types inside virtual folders.
  
  

For Operators: Simplified Monitoring, Smarter Cleanup

• When a user is deleted, all personal data is automatically removed, except for shared saved searches.
• New endpoints:
  • One to clear the GUI cache
  • One to check the status of Core machines without authentication
  • OpenSearch aliases are now used by default for better maintainability and performance.

And of course… more stability

This version includes a wide range of bug fixes — covering full-text search, virtual folders, batch processing, task annotations, and more. As always, each update is clearly documented to ensure transparency and confidence in the platform.
