What is Green IT?

Our goal is to do everything in our power to obtain the international certifications required to be formally considered a Green IT organization.

A Brief Definition:

Born in the early 1990s, the notion of Green IT was established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Green IT, or green information technology, is the practice of environmentally sustainable computing with the aim to minimize the negative impact of IT operations on the environment.

Our goal is to do everything in our power to obtain the national and international certifications required to be formally considered a Green IT Organization.

One of these certifications is the ISO 14001:

What it Really Means for Uxopian

A better understanding of our ecosystem

Information Technology is a complex market involving a range of different players and stakeholders . Most of the time, great IT innovations and projects come from collaboration and combination of knowledge and culture. Therefore, if we want to move the market forward, we need to act together.

Better enabling partners

Proving secure and efficient Cloud Solutions demands hard teamwork. As a software publisher, it is our mission to provide the tools and expertise to our ECM System Integrators and Software publisher partners in order to meet the regulations and requirements of Green IT.

Let’s start working together to provide greener solutions to customers worldwide.

Providing Cloud Solutions

Uxopian Software Suite

ARender, Fast2, and FlowerDocs—the three products of the Uxopian software suite—are available in the cloud.

Providing web-based SaaS solutions is one of the most efficient ways we can promote a Green IT culture within our ecosystem.

It is a message for all our customers and partners to say that we no longer want them to host their information systems on-premises—a cumbersome, costly, and also environmentally damaging way of managing enterprise content. Instead, we want to enable customers to focus on growing their core activity.

With cloud engineering techniques and expertise evolving rapidly, the goal is to host 100% of business applications and software in the cloud. Mutualisation of cloud resources is the key to scaling savings.

This is what we want to achieve. We want all our customer and partner projects to be securely managed in the cloud.

By choosing AWS for most of our software architecture and data hosting, we rely on an ecologically-driven supplier who equally values greener solutions.

AWS’ environmental roadmap and trajectory aims to power 100% of operations with renewable energy by 2025. Find out more here

The Projected Benefits of Green IT

With the aim of maximizing the energy efficiency of new technologies across a product’s lifespan to reduce the use of hazardous materials, we want these benefits to impact our entire global ecosystem. At the end of the day, our main priority is the protection and preservation of our environment, so if these actions can play a role in helping the planet, the Uxopian mission will be fulfilled.
